Desalination is a secure water source that doesn’t depend on rain. Water produced by our two desalination plants makes up 48% of Western Area water supply.
Together (SWEC and SEPCO), serves critical role during the Holy Months of Ramadhan and Hajj period to ensure continuous and reliable power and water supply to the Makkah Mukarramah Region.
